Competition Rules/Terms and Conditions
Participation in the event is only possible after registration via the website www.dehollandse100.nl and payment of the registration fee. On presentation of the confirmation, the participant's package can be collected on the event day.
The event is not an official competition; therefore, the traffic laws apply at all times. Compliance with these laws is mandatory for all participants.
By participating, the participant declares that their equipment is in good condition, so it does not pose a danger to other participants and/or road users.
For the ice skating segment, gloves are mandatory.
For the cycling segment, a hard bicycle helmet is mandatory.
The participant is required to wear the provided bib number and timing chip throughout the event. Remember to hand over the bib number and chip once you have finished skating and cycling.
Participation in the event is at your own risk.
The organization is not responsible for loss and/or damage to any (personal) belongings.
The bib number provided by the organization must be worn unfolded on the chest.
The handlebar number plate provided by the organization must be mounted on the bike, unfolded, before the start of the skating segment. The handlebar number plate may only be removed after retrieving the bike to take it away.
It is not permitted to make images for commercial purposes during the event without the appropriate accreditation. This includes, for example, selling images to third parties. Accreditation requests can be made until March 16, 2025, through Marie-José Helle (info@lymph-co.com).
The organization reserves the right to exclude participants who do not adhere to the above rules from participation.
The organization reserves the right to modify and/or cancel the event if deemed necessary due to circumstances. Registration fees will not be refunded in case of force majeure.
Use of Image and Sound Material / Portrait and Image Rights
The Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor irrevocably grants permission to the Organizer for the publication and reproduction of photos and audio-visual material taken during or around the Event, on which the Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor is visible and/or audible, as outlined in section 2 of this article. This also includes the (re)use of these images and/or recordings in (advertising) communications from or on behalf of the Organizer and/or third parties. This use is granted free of charge.
The Organizer has the right to make audio and/or visual recordings of (parts of) the Event, including Participants, Participating Companies, and/or Visitors. The Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor participating in or visiting the Event:
- Explicitly agrees to the recording and/or (re)use – by the Organizer and/or parties who have obtained permission from the Organizer – of their name, voice, portrait, and/or image and persona through any live or recorded audio and/or visual recordings, (re)broadcasting, or other forms of publication, reproduction, and/or distribution, by any means and via any media or technologies now known or hereafter developed, for their own and/or commercial use;
- Grants explicit, irrevocable, and unconditional permission for the (re)use as described in sub a), for an indefinite period, worldwide and free of charge;
- Will not hold the Organizer or parties using the aforementioned image and/or sound material for commercial purposes liable for the (re)use of such material;
- Waives any portrait and image rights and persona rights related to audio and/or visual recordings in and around the event location where the Participant and/or Visitor is personally recognizable;
- Acknowledges that a video surveillance system is also operational and agrees that, for public order and safety, audio and/or visual recordings of the Visitor and/or Participant may be made by or on behalf of the Organizer.
The Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor acknowledges that any intellectual property rights, including copyrights and related rights, related to the image and/or sound material created by or on behalf of the Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor will be owned by the Organizer. The Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor will, upon the Organizer's request, provide full cooperation to complete any formalities needed to transfer or otherwise grant such rights free of charge. The Organizer has the right to use the image and/or sound material made by or on behalf of the Participant, Participating Company, and/or Visitor in any way.
